Features and improvements shipping to TOMO
The Study tab used to look like a content feed. Now it reads like a plan your coach put together. Each card leads with the reason it was picked for you. Swipe left to skip what doesn't fit. A progress strip tracks your week. The full video library lives behind a single row at the bottom.
Every card now leads with the coaching reason at the top in italics, followed by the title and instructor, then a compact meta line. The "Why this pick" box, tags row, and duration badge are gone. You see the reason before you see the video name.
Swipe a card left to dismiss it. You get 2 skips per week. After that, swiping wobbles the card with a tap-back haptic instead of dismissing. Your lifestyle pick gets its own separate free skip.
A colored segment bar sits between the header and your picks. Green segments for watched, gold for your current pick, gray for pending. A label on the right shows remaining minutes or your skip count.
The search bar no longer takes up space on the main screen. Tap the search icon in the header to open a full-screen search with autocomplete suggestions, the same multi-word matching you had before.
The position grid moved to its own screen. A "Browse Library" row at the bottom of your picks links to it. The main Study tab stays focused on this week's plan.
Watched and skipped picks now reload with their status intact when you leave and return to the Study tab. No more losing your progress by switching tabs.
When TOMO generates a new training debrief, your Study picks automatically reset so the next set reflects your latest analysis.
Why this matters: The old Study tab treated every video the same. A heavy card with 7+ elements, no visual hierarchy, no sense of progress. This redesign treats your weekly picks like a coach's plan: a finite set with clear reasons, a way to decline what doesn't fit, and a visible finish line. When you're done, you're done. Browse the library if you want more.
Your weekly debrief used to wait for the calendar. Now it waits for you. TOMO watches your sessions accumulate and signals you when there's enough to say something real. Three sessions. Five days. Then it's ready.
Your debrief no longer resets every Monday. TOMO tracks your sessions as a running batch and generates when you've built up enough to analyze: 3 sessions spread over 5 days, or 14 days since your last debrief if you've trained at least once.
When you've hit the threshold, a red dot appears on the Insights tab before you navigate there. Tap it and generation starts immediately. The badge turns gold when your debrief lands.
While your batch is accumulating, the Insights tab shows three dots below the holding message. Each session you log fills one. At three filled dots you're close. The red badge tells you when it's time.
Generation no longer fires automatically when you open the app. TOMO checks readiness silently and signals you. You decide when to pull the debrief. Faster opens, no surprise background processing.
Why this matters: BJJ training doesn't happen in clean Monday-to-Sunday blocks. Your schedule is real life: a few sessions clustered here, a gap there, a stretch where you're going four times a week. The old trigger punished anyone who didn't train in full weekly slots. This one watches how you actually train and tells you when there's enough signal to say something worth reading.
